In 2001, I joined Thornage Hall full-time, initially leading the market garden workshop. Over 23 years, I evolved into the Farm Manager, supporting the farm and market garden on the 70-acre estate.
I gained recognition from the biodynamic association as a trainer and secured a full biodynamic certification for Thornage Hall. In 2022, I became a tutor for the biodynamic education body, guiding learners in practical biodynamic principles.

I arrived at Thornage Hall in 2022 as a biodynamic trainee, having left a 15 year career in primary school teaching. In the early part of my career, I travelled and taught abroad, living and teaching in France, Italy, Switzerland, Canada and Thailand. Then after teaching young children for many years in London and Bristol, I realised my passion lay in growing food and working outside. I studied organic horticulture and permaculture, and then became interested in the biodynamic approach to growing and farming. In February 2025, I completed my level 3 diploma in Biodynamic Farming and Growing.
